Vulnerable driver blocklist

Windows ships a security feature — the Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist — that stops known vulnerable drivers from loading. You can disable it if it gets in the way.

Through Windows Security

• Open Windows Security
• Go to Device Security → Core Isolation Details
• Disable Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist
• Restart your PC

Registry method

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CI\Config, then create or modify VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnable and set it to 0. Restart your PC.

Re-enable

Set VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnable = 1 and restart your PC.
