TPM & Secure Boot
Verify and enable TPM and Secure Boot from your BIOS/UEFI.
Some applications require TPM and Secure Boot to be enabled. Here's how to check their status and turn them on.
Verify TPM status
- Press Windows + R
- Type tpm.msc
- Press Enter, then confirm TPM is enabled and functioning correctly
Verify Secure Boot status
- Press Windows + R
- Type msinfo32
- Press Enter, then check Secure Boot State and BIOS Mode
Before you begin
- These settings live in your BIOS/UEFI firmware
- Menu names vary by motherboard manufacturer
- AMD systems usually call it AMD fTPM or Firmware TPM
- Intel systems usually call it Intel PTT or Platform Trust Technology
- Secure Boot may require Legacy/CSM mode to be disabled first
Enter BIOS
Restart your PC and press the appropriate key during startup — commonly DEL, F2, F10, ESC, or F12.
Disable Legacy Boot / CSM
Navigate to Boot → CSM / Legacy Support and set it to Disabled.
Enable TPM
Navigate to Security → Trusted Computing. On AMD systems enable AMD fTPM; on Intel systems enable Intel PTT.
Enable Secure Boot
Navigate to Boot / Security → Secure Boot and set it to Enabled. If prompted, load the default Secure Boot keys.
